Loosen the screw on the left side panelling and take off the cover.
Screw off the cap of the oil inlet nozzle and wipe off gauge stick. Insert the gauge stick into the inlet
opening without screwing it tight to check the oil level.
In case of low oil level, refill with recommended oil until the oil level reaches the edge of the inlet
nozzle.
Attention!
Operation at too low oil level can destroy the generator.
Note:
The oil warning system protects the generator against damages caused by too low oil level in the
engine case. Before the oil level reaches the minimal filling level, the oil lack display will light up and
the system will automatically turn the engine off (the ignition key remains on the ON position). If the
engine is turned off or the oil lack display lights up upon switching on the starter, check the oil level first
before looking for other faults.
3. Checking the fuel level
The generator is operated with unleaded fuel.
Unleaded fuel leads to less sediments in the engine and the spark plugs and prolongs the
lifetime of the exhaust system.
Please refill fuel in case of low fuel level.
Never use old or dirty fuel or an oil-fuel mixture.
Avoid dirt and water entering the fuel tank.
Please reclose the tank cap after infilling of fuel.
Warning!
Fuel is highly inflammable and may explode under certain circumstances.
Do not smoke and avoid open fires and sparks at the storage location of the fuel and during
filling of the fuel tank. Fill up the fuel tank only at well-aerated locations and when the device is
turned off.
Do NOT overfill the tank (fuel level must be lower than the upper marking).
Do not spill fuel during filling. Spilled fuel and fuel vapours may catch fire. In case of spilled
fuel, make sure that the vapours evaporate before the generator is turned on.
Avoid long skin contact with fuel and breathing in fuel vapours.
