Optical Drive Latch and Batter y Latch Assemblies

Pinch together the snap tabs protruding from the latch releases or

lock so that the latch knob falls from the bottom case.

Lift the latch knob away from the bottom case while you collect

the slider and the springs for the latches.

Installing the Optical Drive Latch and Battery Latch Assemblies

Load the latch assemblies with their springs and snap them into place

with the latch slider on the bottom case.

Snap the battery lock assembly into place with its slider on the bottom

case.
To prevent the latch assemblies from coming loose, apply pressure to

the latch button and spring while installing the latch knobs.
