Display Latch
NOTICE:
Disconnect the computer and any attached devices from electrical
outlets, and remove any installed battery.
NOTICE:
To avoid ESD, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or
by touching an unpainted metal surface on the computer.
Removing the Display Latch

Remove the
keyboard
.

Remove the
display assembly
.

Remove the
display bezel
.

On the top cover, slide the display latch to the right and lift the latch
out, ensuring that you do not lose the latch spring.
Installing the Display Latch
1
Holding the display latch spring in place, insert the display latch into
the right side of the latch opening. The peg on the left side of the latch
slides into place.

Replace the
display bezel

Replace the
display assembly

keyboard

Removing the Display Hinges

Remove the
keyboard
.

Remove the
display assembly
.
3
Remove the two black M2.5 x 6-mm screws that hold each display
hinge in place at the bottom of the display, and lift off the hinges.
Installing the Display Hinges
1
Line up the hinges with their guide pins on each side of the display,
and replace the two black M2.5 x 6-mm screws that hold each hinge in
place.

Replace the
