To avoid data loss, do not remove the hard drive while the
computer is in sleep or on state.

Remove the

back cover

Procedure
1
Remove the screw that secures the hard-drive assembly to the display-
assembly base.
2 Slide the hard-drive assembly until the securing tabs are released from the
slots on the display-assembly base.
3 Lift the hard-drive assembly off the display-assembly base.
4 Disconnect the hard-drive cable from the hard drive.
