Using the System Setup Program and Boot Manager
Exit Screen
Press <Esc> to exit the System Setup program. The following messages are
displayed on the Exit screen:
Setup Password
(Not Enabled default)
Restricts access to the System Setup program by using a
setup password.
NOTE:
For more information, see "Using the Setup
Password" on page 42.
Password Status
(Unlocked default)
When Setup Password is assigned and this field is
Locked, the system password cannot be changed or
disabled at system start-up.
NOTE:
For more information, see "Using the System
Password" on page 40.
Set Setup Password
Allows a new setup password assignment.
Set System Password
Allows a new system password assignment.
Power Button
(Enabled default)
If Enabled, the power button can turn the system's power
off and on. On an ACPI-compliant operating system, the
system performs an orderly shutdown before power is
turned off.
When Disabled, the button can only turn on system
power.
AC Power Recovery
(Last default)
Determines how the system reacts when power is
restored. If set to Last, the system returns to the last
power state. On turns on the system after power is
restored. Off allows the system to remain off after power
is restored.
AC Power Recovery
Delay (Immediate
default)
Determines how the system supports the staggering of
power up after the AC power has been restored to the
system. Options are:
• Immediate—No delay for power up.
• Random—A random delay of 30 to 240 seconds for
iDRAC6 or 45 to 240 seconds for BMC.
• User Defined—The system delays power up based on
the defined amount. The defined range is 30 to 240
seconds for iDRAC6 or 45 to 240 seconds for BMC .
