5.9 Motion Record and Alarm Duration
The MOTION SETUP menu option is found on the Main Menu screen. Use the “ Up” and “
Down” buttons to move to MOTION SETUP, and press the“
Select ” button.

1.) OVERWRITE ENABLED :
To enable, or disable the automatic hard drive
overwrite operation, use the “ Up” and “ Down”
buttons to move to the OVERWRITE ENABLED
option, and press the “
Select ” button to change to
“ON”, or “OFF”. If set to “ON”, the hard drive will
begin to overwrite all recorded video when it reaches
capacity. If set to “OFF”, the DVR will stop recording
when the hard drive reaches capacity.
2.) HDD SIZE :
This option simply displays the size of the hard drive
installed in the DVR.
3.) HDD USED :
This option displays both the amount of hard drive
space used, and the percentage used.
4.) HDD FORMAT :
Use this option to format the hard drive. The user will
be prompted for a password before the DVR formats
the drive (even if PASSWORD SETUP in SUB MENU
is “OFF”). The default password is the “
CH1 ” button
pressed six times. WARNING: The DVR will
immediately format the drive after entering the
correct password!
MOTION RECORD DURATION
Use the “ Up” and “ Down” buttons to move to
MOTION RECORD DURATION, and press the “
Select ” button to choose 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30
seconds. This is the amount of time recording will
last after the last movement detected.
Immediately use the “ Up” and “ Down”
buttons to move to the next Motion Setup option,
which saves the Motion Record Duration setting.
