The wat er softener must be set m anually, using the water hard ness dial.
The wat er softener is des igned to rem ove minerals and salts from t he water, which woul d have
a detrim ental or adverse effect on the operation of the app liance.
The more minerals there are, the harder your water is.
The soft ener sho uld be adjusted according to the hard ness of t he water in your area. Your local Water Authority
can advise you on the hardne ss o f the wat er in your area.
Adjusting Salt Consumption
The dishwasher is designed to allow for adjustment in the amount of sa lt co nsumed bas ed on the ha rdness of
the water used. This is intended to op timise and customise the level o f salt consum ption.
1. Open the door ,Sw itch on the appliance;
2. Press the Program button for m ore than 5 s econds to start the water softener
set model wit hin 60seconds after the a ppliance was switched on( The Salt and
Rinse aid war ninglights will be on perio dically when it get in the set m odel );
3. Press the Program button to select the proper set accor ding to your local environment,
th e sets will chang e in the follo wing sequence: H4

WATER SO FTENER
The har dness of the wa ter varie s from place to plac e. If har d water is used i n the dishwasher, de posits will
form on the dish es and utensils.
The applian ce i s equipped with a sp ecial softener that uses a salt container specifically des igned to eliminate
lime and minera ls fr om the water.
Contact your local water board for information on the hardness of your water supply.
