Using a Master Clock
The performance can be improved further by adding a Rossini Master Clock to the system.

Use the DAC

button to select the input you want to use (
AES1+2
in the example).

Connect the Clock

Output 1
to the DAC’s Word Clock In1.

Connect the Clock’s
Output 3
to the Transport’s
Word Clock In
put.
The Transport will lock to the Word Clock and display this icon.
Set the DAC
’

Settings > Sync Mode
menu page to
Word Clock In1
and allow the
system to re-lock.
The “Bad clock” icon indicates that the Transport is receiving word clock at a frequency
other than 44.1, 88.2 or 176.4kHz and it cannot lock to it.

If you intend to use other sources with the DAC, connect the Clock’s
Output 2
to the DAC’s
Word
Clock In2
.

Make sure that the Clock is mechanically isolated from the other units, especially from the
Transport.
Proceed to Step 3.
