Example 

–

 3 Way Active System With DSPB-250 and KAB-100M 

It is possible to make a 3-way system with completely active crossovers with the DSPB+KAB series of 
amplifiers. The diagram below shows how this can be achieved for a single speaker  

There are multiple preset project files available for this setup. They include a file for a 3-way mono 
speaker, one for the left channel 3-way speaker, and one for the right channel. These files are available 
from any of the DSPB product pages, and they are clearly labelled within the zip file of all of the project 
files. If you intend on making a stereo pair of 3-way speakers with this design, please note that you will 
not be able to utilize the Bluetooth input of the KAB board, unless your source device is capable of 
streaming audio to multiple devices.  

 

The image above demonstrates the setup for a 3-way speaker. By following the quick start guides listed 
above, you should be ready to start programming your DSPB to create the proper crossovers and other 
tuning you might like to do within SigmaStudio. Note that instead of using the DSPB-250 powered 
outputs as left and right channels, they will be used as tweeter and midrange outputs in this setup.
