- 31 -
Manual
ENGLISH
Various functions of error handling can be activated here. The first thing to
be done is select the RAID set which is to undergo the following actions.
Afterwards, you can choose from:
-
Update Drive Locations
-
Rebuild Mirror Set
-
Complete Stripe Set
-
Split Mirror-Stripe Set
1.
Update Drive Locations
After changing the connection, it is possible here to update the configuration
data of the RAID set. The ports bearing connections to the drives of a RAID set
are stored with the configuration data. Among other things, the later assignation
of the drive letter depends on the position of the first drive of a RAID set.
2.
Rebuild Mirror Set:
On “Mirror” or “Mirror-Stripe” RAID sets, this function allows you to start from
scratch or continue (after previous interruption) a “Rebuild” process. The “Rebuild”
process can only be used in the case of a “Rebuild” status of the RAID set in
question.
3.
Complete Stripe Set:
This function allows you to continue creating a “Stripe” or “Mirror-Stripe”
RAID set after interruption. This is only possible with an “incomplete” status of the
RAID set in question.
4.
Split Mirror-Stripe Set
This function splits an existing “Mirror-Stripe” set into two “Stripe” sets. The
two “Stripe” sets formed out of drives #0 and #1 as well as #2 and #3 respectively
are at your disposal independently from each other and with the same contents
each in the following.
