2.3. BIOS Update
The most recent BIOS is available on our web page www.dawicontrol.com under
"Support/Downloads/SATA / IDE RAID". To update, download the driver for the
DC-154 RAID; the \BIOS directory of the driver contains the “flash 154.com” utility and
the actual BIOS “bios 154.bin”. To flash, boot into MS-DOS mode, under Windows
(even in a DOS box), the update does not work. Change to the \BIOS directory and
enter “flash 154”. Flashing the EPROM then starts automatically.
After that, re-boot your system. The controller now indicates the updated BIOS
version while booting up, which gives you access to possible innovations.

RAID Level Configuration
2.4.1.
BIOS Setup Utility
The RAID controller is configured via the BIOS setup utility. Here, you can
configure the various RAID levels, view information and carry out further settings
concerning RAID sets, controllers and hard disks.
After installing the DC-154 RAID, booting your computer will activate the
Dawicontrol RAID BIOS. The installation message will first display the allocated
system resources such as BIOS address, I/O addresses of IDE ports as well as
the allocated interrupt.
Afterwards, the connected drives are initialized and put out together with the
port identification. In addition to the drive identification, the selected transfer mode
and the capacity are put out. If the drive is part of a RAID array, the drive numbers
within the RAID array (drive …) as well as the further specification of the RAID set
are displayed additionally.
