vPad-TI OPERATING MANUAL
The Input/Output ports of the tablet are all arranged along the top edge of the tablet. These are:
• SD card: up to 16 Gb
• USB Host: for connection to USB drive, keyboard, barcode scanner, etc.
• USB ADB: Android Developer Bridge, for hardwire control of other devices
• HDMI: Output to HDMI display
• Power Input: 5V, 500mA min
• Power Switch
• Esc: Escape out of the app you are in and return to the Home screen
Switch the tablet OFF when vPad-TI will not be in use for an extended period of time. Press and
hold the ON/OFF switch until a confirmation message appears on the tablet screen. Select the
appropriate response to complete the Power Off sequence.
When it is not necessary to have the tablet display on (and you are running from battery power), it is
good practice to turn the display OFF temporarily. Pressing and releasing the Power ON/OFF
button momentarily will put the tablet in a ‘sleep’ mode. Press the ON/OFF button momentarily
again to ‘wake’ the tablet. This is NOT the same as OFF, but it will reduce power consumption and
extend the usable battery life of the tablet.
