7.18. MODBUS communication settings (17. menu item)
Function Communication with MODBUS RTU slave protocol.
The instrument can be connected to a PLC or to a
computer.
Here you can find how to set communication parameters.
Note 1:
When no communication option is installed than these
parameters are indifferent.
Note 2:
You have to set at the PLC or at the computer the same
communication parameters as here.

Sequence of operations Enter the menu by typing a supervisor code.
The way the code should be type is described in Chapter
7.1. Typing the code in. You see on the display:


2. Keep stepping by pressing the ▲ button as long as you
see this menu item:

( M OD BU S).
3. Enter the menu item by pressing the ENTER button.
4. The mnemonic:

( M ODBUS Addr ess =
MODBUS cím) is shown on the display. Here you can set
the MODBUS slave address. Enter the menu item by
pressing the
ENTER button.
5. You will see:

on the display. The number on the left
is blinking, signaling that it can be modify.
6. Pressing the
► button you can select the next digit.
7. Pressing the ▲ button you can increase the value of the
blinking digit:


, etc.
8. After setting the MODBUS slave address, press
MENU
button. The address range is: 0-247, if you set greater
number you will see

error message and the
address will be set to 247. When you set 0 MODBUS
address the MODBUS communication will be switched off.

instrument exits from the menu item.
