DVUS-1
Playout Server
The DVUS-1 playout server performs scheduled playback of stored files for cable access,
internet streams, TV studios, continuous loop playback for kiosk-type applications,
hospitals, closed-circuit, ad agencies, and much, much more.
With a compatible hardware card, the DVUS-1 can import and play out composite, S-
Video and component video. Files can be recorded and played back at bit rates of 5 to
15 Mbps, on up to four channels simultaneously. DV can be optionally served/imported
using our DAC-6 or DAC-15 digital/analog converters.

Using an open modular architecture, including web server integrated technology, you
can upload video files, modify playlists, trigger controlled or automated playouts, create
reports and create back-ups of the media and database either remotely or locally.
Multiple simultaneous capture/insertion stations
Video file insertion to the server can be done with either the DVUS-1’s proprietary
capture module or any NLE system, including non-Windows operating systems.

The DVUS-1 is can be quickly understood by both professional and non-professional
operators alike.
Timelines
You can plan over an entire week’s worth of video to be automatically served by the
DVUS-1, allowing you to spend your time producing video instead of scheduling it.
Unlimited storage with redundancy
The amount of video you can store is limited only by your hard drive space, and can be
managed by any hard drive technology (SAN, RAID, etc.).
Diagnostics
The DVUS-1 includes a diagnostic application to evaluate your system, making sure it is
ready for the DVUS-1 server software.
