SE-1000
Q: Does the SE-1000 work in PAL and NTSC?
A: Yes, it can be configured to work in both NTSC or PAL formats but
not at the same time.
Q: How much processing delay does the SE-1000 have?
A: There is less than one frame delay in processing.
Q: Does the SE-1000 have a PiP feature?
A: No.
Q: Can I use the built-in converters to change the output?
A: Yes, the internal converters can be used to convert the SDI or HD-
SDI signals to component or composite video.
Q: Can I connect my own tally lights directly to the SE-1000?
A: Use the TB-10 tally box (see accessories below), it provides enough
current to activate the LED’s.
Q: How do I show my Powerpoint presentation?
A: The onboard DVI input will accept a computer source so that you
can switch to it like any other input source.
Q: What are my options for converting the SDI or HD-SDI
into DV or HDV so I can edit it in my PC?
A: The best choice for capturing SDI or HD-SDI would be to install a
Decklink HD Extreme card (

)
into your computer so that you can capture SDI/HD-SDI quality
instead of DV. Once the video has been captured into your NLE you
can then down convert to any requested signal type. A second choice
would be to use the internal converter in the SE-1000 and connect
the output to a component or composite video converter.
