Card Layout
The arrangement or layout of components determines how well your card design works for users.
Use the following guidelines when creating a card design.
Image Size
The image that is sent to the printer is larger than the card size. The printer adjusts the image to
fit the card, which allows the printer to print up to the edge of the card with no unprinted
margins.
The following illustration shows the image that is sent to the printer:

Film Canvas

The size of the non-masked portion of the image
after the printer masks off the edges.

The portion of the film canvas image that prints on
the card.
Note: The image origin on the card can vary,
depending on the software application used to send
the print job.
