Appendix A – Printer Configuration
Form Feed Distance
Possible Values: 0.0394” … 1.2608”* … 2.5216”
Note
: This item is only available when Form Feed Control is set to “Distance”.
This item sets the distance that paper is to be moved whenever the user presses the Paper Feed Button or a
Form Feed character is received from a host system.
Top of Form Adjust
Possible Values: -0.2955 … 0* … +0.2955”
Note
: This item is not available when Form Feed Control is set to “Distance”.
This feature sets the distance from the black mark to where printing begins. A more positive number will move
the print up. A more negative value will move the print down.
Tear Adjust
Possible Values: -0.2955 … 0* … +0.3152”
Note
: This item is not available when Form Feed Control is set to “Distance”.
This feature is used to set the distance from the tear position on the paper/labels to the black mark. If the tear
position is above the black mark, the value is negative. If the tear position is below the black mark, the value is
positive.
Mark Sensitivity
Possible Values: -10 …0* …+10
Note
: This item is not available when Form Feed Control is set to “Distance”.
This item allows the Black Mark/Paper sensor to be adjusted to allow for variations in paper materials and
Black Mark printing methods. The following list will help determine if, and how, the Mark Sensitivity should
be adjusted.
•
If the printer is not detecting black marks reliably, set the Mark Sensitivity to a lower value.
•
If the printer is detecting black marks where none exist, set the Mark Sensitivity to a higher value.
•
If the printer is reporting false Check Paper errors, set the Mark Sensitivity to a higher value.
Advanced
The items in the Advanced menu contains items that affect the operating modes of special printer features.
The table below lists the items available, the values that may be selected, and the factory default value. Which
setup method may be used to change values is indicated by a checkmark. Note that some of these settings
require images to be loaded and/or may be overridden by the host application software. For more information,
