9. Troubleshooting Guide
Below is a quick reference guide to some of the issues, causes and solutions that could happen,
for any assistance with issues or faults that you cannot resolve, please contact Daray Customer
Services.
For any other issues or anomalous readings please contact your distributor or Daray Ltd.
Please contact the supplier if any other problems are found.
The display will present a blank value with 3 dashes where a reading should be; if
either the finger clip falls off (no finger inserted); a probe error or there is a signal inadequacy.
A functional tester cannot be used to assess the accuracy of a pulse oximeter probe or a pulse
oximeter monitor
For any suspected calibration issues, please contact daray.
Code Problem Possible Cause Corrective Actions
1 No Signal Loose cuff Check position of cuff and if necessary
tighten it
2 Not providing a
result
Overreach movement Please try to keep the patient still
during BP readings.
4 NIBP timeout Measurement timeout Check the air hose connections and
make certain cuff is tight enough to
take a reading
85 NIBP warning Airway obstructed Check air hose connections and make
certain air tubing is not crimped.
86 Measurement
stopped
Measurement cancelled Push START/STOP button to restart a
reading
87 NIBP warning Cuff leak Check air hose and cuff.
88 NIBP Timeout Safety time-out Retry reading, push START/STOP
button. If problem persists return
monitor for servicing
89 NIBP warning cuff overpressure Check for blocked or kinked airways,
this may also be a result of using
incorrect settings such as an adult
inflation level on a paediatric cuff
90 The device cannot
be turned on or
won’t stay on.
The batteries may be Low or
may be installed incorrectly
Please change the batteries, ensuring
they are inserted in the correct
direction and try again.
102 System error Self-check failed Return for servicing.
110 NIBP timeout Out of range Retry again, if problem persists return
for servicing.
115 System Error System error Return for servicing.
The SpO
2
and PR
are not displaying
normally.
The finger might not be
positioned properly.
Reseat the pads inside the sensor and
place the finger in again making sure
the light emitter rests on top of the
fingernail.
SpO
2
level doesn’t
display a result
The patient's SpO
2
is too low
to be detected.
Try again: Get a qualified medical
diagnosis if you are sure the device is
functioning correctly.
Both the SpO
2
and
PR readings are
unstable.
The patient’s finger may not
be placed far enough inside
the sensor
Reseat the pads inside the sensor and
place the finger in again making sure
the light emitter rests on top of the
fingernail.
The finger is shaking or the
patient is moving
Settle the patient.
