4. Installation
4.1. Installation
The CLX GM is connected to the master inverter of the inverter network via LAN interface, con-
sisting of an Ethernet network between the inverters and the CLX GM. Use a standard patch
cable (network cable cat5e or better with RJ-45 connectors).
Note:
On all units, remember to use the Ethernet (LAN) RJ-45 connectors and not the RS-485 in-
terface.
The CLX GM and the inverters can work in networks with or without a DHCP server (router),
supporting both static and dynamic IP addressing.
Configuration of the CLX GM depending on whether there is a DHCP server (router) in the net-
work or not.
Refer to Chapter 5,
Configuration
, for further information on how to proceed.
4.2. Mounting
The CLX GM must be installed indoors or in an electrical enclosure. It can be mounted either
horizontally or vertically (connectors facing downwards) on a mounting rail system or on a wall
using the supplied wall bracket.
Illustration 4.1: Wall Bracket
Fit the CLX GM to the bracket by clipping the screws on the back of the unit into the bracket.
When mounting the equipment, ensure free access for cable connections from below. Use cable
anchors for strain relief.
