necessary wait for the metal takes heat again.
•
Press the centrifugation key.
•
Let the centrifugal arm stops automatically once the
programmed time is elapsed or press the stop key.
•
Wait that the pilot lamp of locked lid goes off.
•
Open the lid ed take out the flask with suitable tongs.
•
When all castings are finished switch off the machine
by means of its main switch.
In the Automatic mode (Auto-key led on)
•
Switch on the machine.
•
Open the lid and balance the arm for the flask you
intend to use.
•

button starts blinking.

Select the wished temperature.
•
Place the flask on the flask holder
•
Close the lid.
•
Press the key AUTO its pilot lamp light up and the
pilot lamp of the melting key blinks.

Five seconds before centrifugation the pilot lamp of
the AUTO key starts to blink.
•
If the operator does not want to start automatically
the centrifugation, press the key AUTO within this
fivee seconds, in this way the machine return in not

by means of its main switch.
FAULTS
•
The machine cannot be switched on.
1. Make sure the plug is in and the socket is live.
2. Check the safety circuit breaker switch is set at I
(ON). To this purpose:
-remove the safety panel on the right (10, fig. 1).
-set the magnetothermal switch to I.
-replace the safety panel.
•
The faults are identified by the microprocessor of
the casting machine and displayed through the
multifunction Led indicators (A, fig. 4) according to
the following error codes, in conjunction with a
sequence of sound signals. To identify the number
of the Led that has turned on, start counting from
the front of the machine backwards.
1. Led 1 lit: keyboard error. Call for assistance.
2. Led 2 lit: cooling water missing. Fill up with water,
as previously explained. In case the water was just
poured into, try to tilt the machine backwards and
put a shim, 10 to 15 cm thick, under the front feet;
leave the switched-on machine under this condition
for approx. 10 minutes, then switch off the machine
and put it down on the floor. Finally, switch on the
machine again.
3. Led 1 and 2 lit: error of the coil lowering routine.
Switch off the machine, then switch it on. Call the
assistance service, if required.
4. Led 3 lit: lock open and lid closed. Switch off the
machine, then switch it on again. Call the assistance
service, if required.
5. Led 2 and 3 lit: lock closed and lid open. Switch off
the machine, then switch it on again. Remember to
close the lid before starting the centrifuge. Call for
assistance, if required.
6. Led 4 lit: the maximum time set for the coil lifting
motor has been exceeded. Start the machine again.
Call for assistance, if required.
7. Led 1 and 4 lit: error of the coil raising routine. Switch
off the machine, then switch it on again. Call the
assistance service, if required.
•
The casting process is interrupted and a set of sound
signals is raised.
If several castings have been produced in
succession, the cooling water temperature could be
too high. Switch off the machine, then switch it on
again after approx. one hour. If the trouble persists,
call the assistance service.
•
The lid cannot be opened.
The machine is not live. Power it up.
•
Vibrations of the machine during the centrifugation.
The arm has not been correctly balanced. Balance
it accurately according to the instructions given in
this Manual.
MAINTENANCE
•
At least once in a year check the level of the distilled
water. The level to be reached is marked on the water
tank.
•
Clean the glass of the portlight always before every
casting process. If the glass is dirty, the optical reader
cannot correctly take the temperature value.
•
Once in a year remove the front panel in order to
clean and lubricate with silicone lubricants the sliding
surface of the coil raising system. The dust deposits
could hinder the coil raising movement. Carefully
clean the insulating plate that retains the two coil
holding rods; finally put the front panel in place.
