Facility Setting

(cooling at low outdoor temperature)

This function is limited only for facilities (the target of air conditioning is equipment (such as computer)). Never use it in
a residence or office (the space where there is a human).

Cutting jumper4 (J4) on the circuit board will expand the operation range down to –15°C. However it will stop if the outdoor
temperature drops below –20°C and start back up once the temperature rises again.
1) Remove the 2 screws on the side and remove the top plate of the outdoor unit.
2) Remove 1 screw from the upper electric box cover.
3) Remove the upper electric box cover by sliding it, being careful not to bend the electric box hook.
4) Remove the lower electric box cover.
5) Cut the jumper (J4) of the PCB inside.
6) Go back through step 4)

1). Make sure all components are well secured when doing this.

 CAUTION

• If the outdoor unit is installed where the heat exchanger of the unit is exposed to direct wind, provide a windbreak wall.
• Intermittent noises may be produced by the indoor unit due to the outdoor fan turning on and off when using facility settings.
• Do not place humidifiers or other items which might raise the humidity in rooms where facility settings are being used.

A humidifier might cause dew jumping from the indoor unit outlet vent.

• Cutting jumper 4 (J4) sets the indoor fan tap to the highest position. Notify the user about this.
• When removing the upper electric box cover, be careful not to bend the hook.
• When returning the lower electric box cover, return the notch to the stop valve side.
• When returning the upper electric box cover, be careful not to pinch the fan motor lead wire.
