▪ Fuse the appliance in accordance with the ap-
plicable regulations and laws as well as the
specifications issued by AHT (see →Fusing).
▪ Only connect the appliance to a mains cir-
cuit with protective earthing.
▪ Do not use extension cords or multiple
socket strips.
▪ Do not damage concealed electrical parts.
The operator must not drill into the appli-
ance or carry out any other work on it.
Appliance connection
With a voltage supply of 380 - 420 V, the appliance is
connected using a mains plug.
Fig. 12:
Appliance connection
Appliance does not have an on/off switch.
The socket for the appliance connection must not be
screwed onto the appliance.
Wall mounting is recommended.
NOTICE
Material and property damage due to devia-
tions (voltage, frequency, direction of rota-
tion) in the operating company’s electrical
network that are not permitted by AHT.
▪ The manufacturer is not liable for damage to the oper-
ator’s electrical equipment or any resulting damage.
Material damage due to faulty electrical con-
nection.
▪ Load breakers or device shut-downs are not permitted.
▪ Ensure the correct rotation direction (CW rotary
field) of the power supply.
8.2 Fusing
Every electrical connection must be sufficiently fused.
For technical data, see
→Technical data
WARNING
Faulty/insufficient fuse protection.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Fire hazard due to sparking or overload.
▪ Observe applicable local regulations, e.g.
for electrical installation and operation of
the appliances.
▪ Observe applicable standards and safety
instructions.
▪ Ensure adequate fuse protection.
▪ Never operate the appliance without a re-
sidual current device.
▪ Never operate the appliance without a cir-
cuit breaker.
▪ Never connect more than one appliance to
one fuse.
9 Start-up
Only qualified staff may start up an appliance, a group
of appliances, or the external unit by agreement with
the operator.
This work must be conducted according to the
VENTO system commissioning instructions.
These instructions are available from qualified staff.
The appliance may only be started up in the intended
installation room and after checking for completeness.
WARNING
Danger from carry-over of leaked flam-
mable refrigerant into drains.
Accumulation of refrigerant can create an explo-
sive gas/air mixture.
Fire hazard.
Prior to start-up and restarting, fill the drain with
approx. 2 litres (0.5 gallons) of water (H2O).
Prevents carry-over of refrigerant into drains.
Damage to the electrical system and/or
the refrigerant circuit.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Flammable refrigerant can escape and
cause an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire haz-
ard due to sparking or overload.
▪ Do not operate a damaged appliance.
▪ Do not connect a damaged appliance or
damaged parts (such as connecting ca-
bles) to the power supply.
▪ Only qualified staff may replace damaged
parts, e.g. connecting cables.
▪ Observe safety notices and warnings for
appliances with flammable refrigerants
(see →Flammable refrigerants).
▪ In the event of damage to the appliance,
promptly contact the maintenance service
(see → Maintenance services).
NOTICE
Property damage due to incorrect ambient
conditions.
▪ Adjust the appliance to match the ambient temper-
ature prior to start-up.
▪ The ambient temperature must not fall below 16°C
(60.8°F).
Material and property damage due to incor-
rect commissioning.
▪ Requirements before applying the operating voltage:
–
Defrosting water drain must be available (see
→ Setup and installation).
–
For appliances with a brine circuit, the waste
heat system must be in operation.
–
Connect the appliance mains plug on the connect-
ing cable (see → Electrical connection).
The cooling unit starts to operate after a delay of max.
2 minutes.
After start-up, it may take up to 4 to 4 hours until the
desired temperature is reached.
Note:
If the blind closes when the appliance is
switched on, no day signal (see → Night blind/appli-
ance lighting function) is present on the appliance.
