General Maintenance Procedures
Cracked Inner Race
Race c racked due t o i mproper f it, c ocking or
poor bearing seat.
Replace all parts and housings, check seals and
bearings and replace if leaking.
Smears
Smearing of m etal due t o s lippage c aused b y
poor f itting, l ubrication, ov erheating, ov erloads
or handling damage.
Replace bear ings, c lean r elated par ts an d
check for proper fit and lubrication.
Replace shaft if damaged.
Frettage
Corrosion set up b y small relative movement of
parts with no lubrication.
Replace bearing. Clean all related parts. Check
seals and check for proper lubrication.
