Swing Force Test
With the bo om, arm an d buc ket i n t he same
position as for the swing speed test, rotate the
turntable so t hat t he boom i s e venly centered
between t he s ide frames, poi nting s traight
ahead. Loc ate t he 90 ° ref erence poi nt,
perpendicular to the boom . M ark t he turntable
and undercarriage with paint at the 90° point.

exactly 90° , s tarting f rom t he b oom s traight
ahead pos ition. E ngage t he s wing l ever an d
brake at the 90° point, shown as “swing stop” in
Figure 9.
Record how far the turntable drifts past the stop
point, measuring t he distance bet ween pai nt
marks. Maximum distance s hould be l ess than
700 mm (27.56 in.), in both Power Mode III and
Power Mode II.
