BATTERIES
• All training collars are equipped
with rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries
which are not memory sensitive and do not require depletion
before recharging.
• When the battery is running low in the transmitter, the back-
light will blink 3 times every second to alert you of this status.
• The batteries come partially charged from the factory, but will
require a full charge before the first use (12 hours).
• Remember to always keep batteries away from open flames.
• When storing the unit for extended periods, remember to regu-
larly give the batteries a full charge (14 hours). This should be
done once every 4 to 6 weeks.
• Excessive overcharging can shorten battery life. Never leave
the batteries plugged in for more than 14 hours at a time.
Battery Charging Procedure
1. Turn the unit OFF.
2. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
3. Charge the batteries for 12 hours. This can be done either
separately or simultaneously.
4. After charging, disconnect the battery charging cables from the
receptacles and securely replace the rubber battery receptacle
covers.
5. Test the system to make sure that everything is working
properly.
