Configuring the Modem for IPoA Mode
To configure the DSL-302G ADSL modem to operate in Internet Protocol over ATM (IPoA) mode, follow these
instructions.
Open the
WAN
folder and then click on the
IPOA
link. This will open the
IP over ATM (IPoA)
Configuration
menu, as shown below.
Click the
Add
button to open the
IPoA Interface – Add
menu, as shown below.
Enter the IPoA configuration information supplied to you by your ADSL service provider. In the example
above, the ADSL service provider assigned an IP address of 203.1.1.2, a netmask of 255.255.255.252, and a
gateway IP address of 203.1.1.1. Click the
Submit
button to make the change current. A confirmation screen
will appear to confirm the changes. Close the
IPoA Interface – Add
menu.
Now open the
WAN
folder (if it is not already open) and click the
IPoA
link. The newly created IPoA interface
will now be displayed, as shown below.
