The ideal depth of the fork drop-outs is 14mm. 

 

If your drop-outs are not deep enough (i.e. a portion of the spindle sticks out) you are 
required to fit a torque arm for your own safety (more on this later).

Remove your existing tyre, air-tube and protection tape. Place them on the motor wheel 
instead.
