PM User Interface
You can access the PM user interface by following the instructions provided
in “To Access the Console” on page 34. The menu that appears after
connecting to the console depends on whether the PM has booted or not
before you connect.
If you connect to the console before powering on the AlterPath PM or reboot
while connected, the Boot Menu appears:
If the PM has already booted before you connect to the AlterPath PM through
the console, the Login prompt appears
On the Boot Menu, do one of the following options: Do nothing or enter

to
select the Boot Firmware option. The Login prompt appears.
The line
[PM]: IPDU:
displays the number of PMs daisy chained. If no PMs
are daisy chained, the value is 1.
The line
[PM]: OUT:
displays the total number of outlets on a single PM or
on all daisy-chained PMs.

1. Upgrade Firmware.
2. Boot Firmware.
