WHEEL SIZE MEASUREMENT
Previously,tire and wheel size were specified the same.
Example: (a 9.50 x 8.00 tire was mounted on a 9.50 x 8.00 wheel)
Wheel size is now determined by measuring the wheel at the bead seat.
The first number is wheel diameter measured at bead seat.
The second number is wheel width measured at bead seat.
Example: (a 9.50 x 8.00 tire is mounted on a 8.00 x 7.00 wheel)
The wheel size did not change, just the method of measurement. See illustration below.
