(10) Switch off power to the DAFR. Disconnect the MTI cable.
DAFR File Conversion Process – PGS Release 5.1.1 or
earlier
(1) Copy the FDRConvert.exe file to the required folder.
(2) Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the directory
containing the DAFR FDR data files to be converted.
(3) Drag and drop the file for conversion on to the
“FDRConvert.exe” program icon; located on the desktop
or elsewhere. The program will start and output similar
to the following:
(4) The FDRConvert tool will check the validity of the file
name and terminate if:
(a) The Input File does not exist.
(b) The Input File is of the wrong format.
NOTE: If the Output File to be created already exists,
the existing file is automatically deleted.
Progress whilst creating the Output File is
shown in the DOS window. On successful
completion, a “Conversion Complete” message
will be displayed and the Output File will have
been created.
FDR Data Analysis
This procedure may be performed on the download PC or on a
desktop PC on to which the recovered data has been copied.
It is assumed that a database with appropriate parameter
definitions has been defined and PGS has been set up
correctly. Refer to the PGS Operators Manual for more
details.
