Fuel Shut-Off Valve
The fuel shut-off valve is located on top of the fuel tank(s). When
turned in a clockwise direction until it stops, it will shut off the
flow of fuel to the engine. When turned in a counterclockwise
direction it will open and allow fuel to flow to the engine. See
Fig. 4-2.
NOTE: Close this valve if you are not going to run the mower for a
period of 30 minutes or more to prevent flooding the engine.
Fuel Tank Cap
The fuel tank caps are located on top of the fuel tanks. Turn the
cap counter-clockwise to remove.
Turn the cap clockwise to tighten. Always re-install the fuel cap
tightly onto the fuel tank after removing.
WARNING!
Never fill the fuel tank when the engine
is running. If the engine is hot from recently running,
allow to cool for several minutes before refueling.
Highly flammable gasoline could splash onto the
engine and cause a fire.
Transmission Bypass Valves (Not Shown)
The transmission bypass valves (one for each the RH and LH
transmission) are located just in front of the engine and just
behind the seat.
When engaged, the two valves open a bypass within the
hydrostatic transmissions, which allows the tractor to be pushed
short distances by hand. Refer to the Maintenance & Adjustments
section for instructions on using the bypass feature.
CAUTION:
Never tow your tractor. Towing the
tractor with the rear wheels on the ground may
cause severe damage to the traction drive system,
pumps and motors.
Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS)
The roll-over protection structure is an integral part of you zero-
turn tractor. It is designed to create a crush-resistant space for
the operator in the event of a roll-over.
DANGER!
The Roll Over Protection Structure
should not be tampered with, modified or removed.
If the system is damaged, it must be replaced prior
to operator use. Failure to us the Roll Over
Protection Structure and seat belt properly could
result in serious injury or death.
Front Skirts
The front skirts are located on the front of the deck
and help lift the grass for precision cutting or can be
raised to allow for the cutting of large volumes of
grass. See the Maintenance & Adjustments section for
more information on adjusting the front skirt.
