Projection Distance
The patient and the projector must be at the same distance from the projection surface, except in the
case of the CP 2033 Zoom projector. The angle of vision, like measurement of visual acuity, is not
influenced by this fact and the visus attributed each time will be valid for all distances. In order not to
falsify the refraction value, the projection distance must fall between a minimum of 2.9 m and a maxi-
mum of 6.1 m.
With the Zoom projector (CP 2033) it is not necessary to align the projector and the patient with respect
to the projection surface (tolerance is ± 1m), but in this case the visus is dependent on the projection
distance and verification on the projected enlargement will thus be required.
Projection with Mirrors
In rooms in which it is impossible to attain the minimum projection distance (2.9 m), the distance can
be doubled by using mirrors.
