Installing Multiple Projectors in a Single Room
All our projectors are programmed for remote control transmission using the code 00; in other words,
the default transmission code is the same for all remotes. In the case more than one projector are used
in a single room, the remote control transmission codes must be modified to avoid interference among
them. Open the battery compartment on the rear of the remote (refer to figure on left) and enter a
new combination by resetting one DIP switch at a time to ON (so obtaining four additional combina-
tions beside the standard code). When finished, turn the projector off (main switch, 7). Bring the remo-
te to a distance of about one meter for best infrared pulse reception by the projector.
While maintaining this position, hold the IN button (models CP 2033, CP 3000, and CP 3137) or the
1 button (models CP 2047, CP 2147, CP 1042, and CP 1142) down and with the other switch the pro-
jector on. Hold the remote button (IN or 1) down until the projector emits a sequence of short tones
followed by one long tone signaling the end of the procedure. Release the remote button (IN or 1) and
proceed with normal use.
Positioning the Projector and Focusing the Image on the Screen
For best quality when projecting the test images, and in particular the polarized tests, use the projec-
tion screen (17) supplied with the projector.
The screen must be placed at least 2.8 meters from the patient (not applicable in case of the R2033
Zoom projector) and used in dim lighting conditions or in any case in such a position as not to reflect
sunlight (see also PROJECTION DISTANCE).
Once the projector and the screen are positioned, turn the ring (4) to focus the projector (models CP
2047, CP 2147, CP 1042, CP 1142, CP 3000, and CP 3137).
The procedure is different for the CP 2033 Zoom projector since this is the only model that permits
conducting testing without having to align the patient with the projector (he may be up to 1 m in front
of or behind the projector. For this reason, the user must able to adjust the enlargement of the pro-
jected tests, besides the focus. To do so, open the top cover and adjust the two knobs: knob (25) to
change the enlargement of the projected tests, and then (24) to focus the enlarged image. Once the
desired settings are obtained, tighten the two knobs.
