applying full engine power to avoid excessive engine corrosion.
NOTE: When sailing, it is always wise to start the engine before lowering the sails. Should the engine not
start one is still able to maneuver the yacht safely.
9.2
Engine Shutdown
Close the throttle to slow idle, shift gear into neutral. Pull out engine cut out knob. When engine has
come to a complete stop, turn key switch off.
If engine is not used for longer periods, the engine water intake valve may be closed, but is not
absolutely necessary.
