Mounting / dismounting / setting-up of
some elements is the same for all power
tool models, in this case specific models
are not indicated in the illustration

Installation / dismantling of the side stop (see fig. 1)
•
Assembly side stop
12
as it is shown in fig. 1.
•
Install the side stop
12
using the wing screw
14
(see
fig. 1).
•
Disassembly operations do in reverse sequence
Setting of grooving width (see fig. 2)
•
Loosen the fastening nut
21
of the side stop
12
, and
set the necessary width of grooving by moving the
thrust plate
20
(see fig. 2).
•
Tighten the fastening nut
21

Installation / dismantling of the vertical stop (see
fig. 3)
•
Install the vertical stop
13
using the wing screw
14
(see fig. 3).
•
When dismantling the vertical stop
13
unscrew the
wing screw
14

Setting of grooving depth (see fig. 3)
•
Loosen the wing screw
14
of the vertical stop
13
and
set the desired depth of grooving (see fig. 3).
•
Tighten the wing screw
14

Initial operation of the power tools
Always use the correct supply voltage the power sup-
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
power tool identification plate.
Switching the power tool on / off
Switching on:
In order to switch on the power tool, push lock-off button
6
and while holding it in position, push on / off switch
5

Switching off:
In order to switch off the power tool, release on / off
switch

Dust suction during the power tool op
-
eration
Dust suction allows reducing dust concen-
tration in the air and prevents its accumula-
tion at the workplace
When working with the power tool always
use a suction cleaner to suck off the dust form the
treated materials
Design features of the power tool
Additional handle with regulator for planing depth
adjustment (see fig. 4)
Set the desired planing depth turning additional
handle
4
to the right or to the left, according to the
marks of scale
3

Scale marking
3
is done such that turning of handle
4
for one mark will change the planing depth by 05 mm
(see fig. 4). For example, 0.5 has been preset, by turn
-
ing the handle we set value 10 it means that the plan-
ing depth will change from 05 mm to 1 mm
Safety stop (see fig. 5)
Spring-loaded safety stop
8
allows putting the power
tool aside right after completion of the operation, with-
out any risk to damage the treated surface or the pow-
er tool blades When the power tool is lifted above the
treated surface spring actuated safety stop
8
returns
into the initial position, and during putting aside back
base plate
9
does not contact the treated surface (the
power tool is supported by safety stop
8
), this pro-
vides free rotation of drum not contacting the treated
surface with blades (see fig. 5).
During planing safety stop
8
moves backward and
ensures free operation
Recommendations on the power tool
operation
Planing
•
Make sure that the workpiece is safely fixed.
•
Place front base plate
1
on the treated surface such
that the blades do not contact the treated surface
•
Turn the power tool on and let drum reach the
maximum speed
•
After that evenly move the power tool forward Control
the conveying speed - performance of operation will
take some time Too high speed would not expedite the
process but will entail the power tool overload and will
result in poor quality of the treated surface
•
When starting the planing process press stronger
the front part of the power tool and at the end of work -
the back part, which allows avoiding uneven chipping
both at the beginning and at the end of planing
•
Planing would be easier if you incline the workpiece
such that it could be planed downwards
•
Do not turn off the power tool during the operation,
first you should break contact of the blades with the
workpiece, for example, lift the power tool above the
treated surface
Recommendations on improvement of the quality
of the treated surface
Quality of the resulted surface depends on planing
depth, conveying speed, direction of planing and con-
dition of the blades
•
Planing depth
- with low depth of planing the re-
sulted surface would be smoother but it would require
more runs to remove the layer of required thickness
For pre-treatment
- set higher value of planing
depth as this will reduce time of work
For final treatment
- set lower value of planing
depth as this will ensure smoother surface
•
Conveying speed
- with low depth of planing the
resulted surface would be smoother
•
Direction of planing (along / against fibers)
- in
case of planing along the wood fibers the surface
would be smoother
•
Blade condition
- in case of planing with dull
blades or with blades with jags or chippage the treated
