EDID 

 

EDID is a data structure that HDMI receivers use to indicate their capabilities to the 
HDMI sources.  

The HD-MD8X1/2 routes HDMI signals from any of the eight video inputs to one or 
two (HD-MD8X2 only) output channels. According to the HDMI standard, HDMI 
sources are expected to only deliver audio and video formats that are supported by 
the destination.  

To configure video/audio EDID, use the DMTool in Crestron Toolbox. The DMTool 

allows the EDID configuration to be set manually while ensuring that the EDID is 
accurate. For detailed information about configuring video/audio EDID, refer to the 
Crestron Toolbox help file.
