Step 13 — Angle braces (continued.):

level the play set. Plumb the Posts. Tighten all connections 

except the Angle Braces. do not over tighten.
Position  all  of  the Angle  Braces  with  the  angled  ends  flat 

against  the Post nearest to each. With a pencil, mark the 

position where the holes in the Angle Braces rest against the 

Posts. At each mark drill a 3/16" diameter x 2" pilot hole in 

the Posts. fasten the Angle Braces to the Corner Posts us-

ing one 5/16 x 3" lag Screw and flat washer in each Angle 

Brace.
note: The Stringers have been omitted from the illustration 

for clarity.

Step 14 — narrow Platform boards:

locate  two  49-5/8"  narrow  Platform  Boards  (i).  Place  the 

narrow Platform Boards as shown. The edge of the boards 

should align with the corner of the adjacent Posts. fasten 

the narrow Platform Boards to the Stringers with eight #8 x 

2" flat Head Wood Screws for each board.
locate one 52-3/4" narrow Platform Board (AR). Place the 

narrow  Platform  Board  as  shown. The  edge  of  the  board 

should align with the corner of the adjacent Posts. fasten 

the narrow Platform Board to the Stringers with eight #8 x 2" 

flat Head Wood Screws.

Step 12 — Angle braces:

fasten  an Angle  Brace  (B)  to  each  end  of  both  Platform 

Sides (m & AW) using four 5/16 x 2-1/2" Hex Bolt Assem-

blies. do not tighten these bolts yet. The Angle Braces (B) 

should be fastened so that the angled end is flat against the 

Corner Post nearest to it.
fasten  two Angle  Braces  each  to  both  the  Platform  front 

and Platform Back (AC & Ad), in the positions shown, using 

four 5/16 x 2-1/2" Hex Bolt Assemblies. do not tighten these 

bolts yet. The Angle Braces should be fastened so that the 

angled end is flat against the nearest Post.
