COSMOGAS
16.1 - General warnings
This section must be brought to the user’s attention by the
installer, highlighting the tasks required to maintain correct
operation of the system;
The installer must also inform the user that lack of care and
maintenance of this appliance could cause malfunctions.
A regular annual maintenance check on the system is
advised for the following reasons:
- to maintain high output of the appliance and therefore save
fuel;
- to maintain high operating safety;
- to maintain a high level of environmental compatibility of
the combustion;
WARNING! The maintenance of the device
must be carried out only by a professionally qualified
technician.
WARNING! Before any installation or
maintenance operation, disconnect the unit from the
electric power supply, using the relevant switch located
nearby.
WARNING! Before any maintenance operation
turn off the gas cock
The operations to be carried out at each maintenance
check are shown in the box below.
16 - MAINTENANCE
16.1.1 - Gas leak check
1. - Check for no gas leaks in the system;
2. - Check for any gas leaks using a gas leak detector
(with bubble or similar), or equivalent system, carefully
checking the whole gas pipe from the meter to the
appliance.
WARNING! Do not carry out these checks where
there are naked flames.
16.1.2 - Check good order of air intake and
flue gas outlet ducts
1. - Check whether the air intake and flue gas outlet
ducts have any blockages, signs of corrosion, physical
damage, water marks or signs of rust.
2. - Check that the intake grills and flue gas outlet terminals
fitted outside do not contain any residue and are clean.
16.1.3 - Check ignition and detection
electrodes
1. - Remove the burner fan assembly (as shown in section
16.3).
2. - Clean the electrodes of any material that has been
deposited during operation.
3 - Check the correct position of the electrodes as shown in
section 16.5;
16.1.4 - Check intervention of safety
thermostat
After starting up the appliance adjust the delivery temperature
to the maximum possible value (see section 15.5). Check that
intervention of the safety thermostat turns off the appliance.
MAINTENANCE PROTOCOL
- Check there are no gas leaks
(Follow section 16.1.1);
- Check good order of air intake and flue gas outlet system (Follow
section 16.1.2);
- Check ignition and detection electrodes
(Follow section 16.1.3);
- Cleaning the burner and the primary heat exchanger, flue gas side and
checking good order of heat insulation devices
(Follow section 16.4)
- Clean air intake filter
(Follow section 16.6)
- Clean condensate outlet system
(Follow section 16.7)
- Check intervention of safety thermostat
(Follow section 16.1.4)
