VERIFYING
SUITABILITY
OF
THE
TRACTOR

Verify
that
the
tractor
is
suitable
before
attaching
or
hooking
the
machine
to
the
tractor.

Test
the
brakes
to
make
sure
that
the
tractor
decelerates
as
required
even
when
the
machine
is
connected.
s
Specific
requirements
for
tractor
suitability:
‐
admissible
overall
weight
‐
admissible
axle
loads
‐
capacity
of
the
tyres
fitted.
These
data
can
be
found
on
the
tractor’s
rating
plate,
in
the
logbook
and
in
the
”user
manual”.
s
The
tractor’s
front
axle
must
always
support
at
least
20%
of
the
tractor’s
empty
weight.
s
The
tractor
must
achieve
the
deceleration
required
by
the
manufacturer
even
when
the
machine
is
connected.
