12
Speed.
The
machine
must
be
driven
at
speed
that
is
suitable
for
the
conditions
of
the
terrain
(flat
and
solid
ground),
with
the
load
always
visible.
Avoid
sudden
acceleration
and
braking,
and
tight
cornering
at
high
speed.
The
machine
or
the
tractor
may
roll
over,
and
movement
of
the
load
‐
consisting
of
the
machine
and
any
materials
to
be
spread
‐
must
not
be
underestimated.
The
maximum
speed
allowed
in
optimum
conditions
is
40
km/h.
Never
exceed
5
km/h
in
reverse.
Fatal
accidents
may
occur
when
travelling
as
a
result
of
failing
to
observe
the
rules
or
even
simple
distraction.
13
Coupling
or
hitching
systems.
All
tractor
hitching
systems
must
be
in
perfect
condition
before
attaching
them
to
the
machine.
Depending
on
the
machine
used,
the
lifting
points,
arms
and
tow
bar
must
be
suitably
adjusted.
All
support
devices
must
be
replaced
periodically
(pins,
safety
pins...).
14
Drive
shaft
coupling.
Only
use
the
drive
shafts
supplied
with
the
machine
and
in
perfect
condition,
the
right
length
and
correctly
engaged.
Any
damaged
protection
devices,
even
slightly,
must
be
replaced
with
original
components.
Before
starting
operation,
and
in
any
case
after
every
8
hours
of
operation,
switch
off
the
engine,
clean
and
grease
the
drive
shaft,
including
before
an
extended
period
of
inactivity.
If
using
in
winter,
the
protective
tubes
should
be
greased
to
avoid
gripping
due
to
the
cold.
Carefully
read the manual supplied with the drive shaft.
15
Parking
and
stabilisation.
When
not
being
used,
the
machine
must
be
unhitched
from
the
tractor
and
parked
in
a
protected
site
on
suitable,
even
ground,
with
a
capacity
suitable
for
distribution
of
the
loads,
as
shown
on
the
rating
plate
and
the
support
points.
Use
the
stabilisers
supplied,
making
sure
the
locking
pins
are
in
place,
and
other
stabilisers
using
support
points
that
are
suitable
for
distribution
of
the
loads.
16
Approaching
the
machine
‐
Danger
zone.
Danger
zone
refers
to
the
area
surrounding
the
machine
inside
which
people
may
be
endangered
by
operation
of
the
machine
and
the
related
tools,
by
materials
or
foreign
matter
ejected
by
the
machine,
by
work
tools
raised
above
the
ground
that
drop
accidentally,
by
accidental
movement
of
the
tractor
and
the
machine.
17
Rolling.
Never
approach
the
machine
if,
accidentally,
it
is
not
safely
parked
and
stabilised,
even
if
the
machine
is
correctly
attached
to
the
tractor.
18
Safety
devices.
The
safety
devices
must
never
be
removed,
for
any
reason.
If
the
safety
devices
are
removed
during
maintenance
or
adjustments,
they
must
be
returned
to
their
original
position
before
starting
work.
19
Maintenance
and
adjustments.
Maintenance
and
adjustments
must
be
performed
by
suitably
trained
and
authorised
personnel,
when
the
machine
is
cold,
to
avoid
the
danger
of
burns,
fire
and
explosions.
The
tractor
must
be
off,
removing
the
keys
from
the
ignition.
After
unhitching
the
machine
from
the
tractor,
it
must
be
suitably
parked
and
stabilised,
on
flat
and
solid
ground,
so
as
to
avoid
mechanical
dangers
such
as
trapping
and
crushing.
20
Ladders
and
access
points.
Keep
the
ladders
and
operator
access
points
clean.
These
can
only
be
used
to
access
the
machine
when
the
tractor
is
off,
removing
the
keys
from
the
ignition,
and
when
the
machine
is
suitably
parked
and
stabilised.
The
accumulation
of
debris
may
cause
serious
and
very
serious
injuries
(even
death)
due
to
falls
from
a
slippery
surface.
21
Loading
with
automatic
equipment.
The
products
to
be
spread
must
be
loaded
in
conditions
of
complete
safety
and
in
compliance
with
the
standards
in
force
on
occupational
health
and
safety.
When
loading
sacks
exceeding
30
kg
in
weight,
use
cranes
with
a
suitable
load
capacity.
The
use
of
mechanical
handling
equipment,
such
as
loaders,
involves
a
series
of
risks
when
loading
the
products
to
be
spread,
such
as
collision,
crushing,
rolling,
chemical
reactions,
irritations
and
inhalation,
asphyxia
and
suffocation,
noise,
vibrations
and
falling
from
a
height.
