Cable entries (KLE);
blanking plugs
Generally only certified cable entries and blan-
king plugs may be used.
Trumpet-shaped cable glands or other suitable
entries with additional pull relief shall be used
for flexible cables .
The relevant mounting directives for the built-in
cables entries shall be observed.
When using cable entries with a degree of pro-
tection that is lower than the IP protection of
the apparatus (see Technical Data), the degree
of IP protection for the complete unit is reduced.
In order to ensure the minimum degree of pro-
tection, any unused entry holes shall be seale
with certified blanking plugs.
When fitting cable entries, it is necessary to
ensure that the sealing inserts used are suiable
for the cable diameter.
In the case of sealing inserts that are cut to
size, it is necessary to ensure that the insert
In order to ensure the required minimum pro-
tection category, the cable glands are to be
tightened down.
If fittings are overtightened, the protection
class may be compromised.
Attention: When tightening the cap nut of the
type ADE 1F metal cable entry, the screwing is
to be protected against twisting by means of a
suitable tool.
In order to establish the minimum protection
category, unused holes have to be closed with
a certified blanking plug.

„t“ Staub (Zone 22)
Es ist sicherzustellen, dass durch, z.B. den
Einsatz von ausreichend dichten Kabeleinfüh-
rungen, Verschlussstopfen und Leitungen, die
geforderten “t” Eigenschaften nach
IEC/EN 60079-31 erhalten bleiben.
6.5
Electrical connection
The electrical connection of the apparatus
may only be carried out by skilled staff.
The connection is made in accordance with
teh applicable regulations
(ex. DIN VDE 0100 -part 610 erection of power
installations with nominal voltages up to
1000 V - analysis; initial assessment).
The outside earth connection have to be con-
nect with cable lugs.
The properly bared conductors of the cables
shall be connected, taking into account the re-
spective regulations.
The conductors shall be connected with spe-
cial care in order to maintain the explosion ca-
tegory.
The insulation on the connecting cables must
extend all the way to the terminal.
The connectible min. and max. conductor
cross-sections shall be observed (see techni-
cal data).
All screws and/or nuts of the supply terminals,
also of those remaining vacant, shall be
tightened down.
Overtightening might impair the protection
category.
The fitted standard terminals are designed for
direct connection of conductors with copper.
If multi- or fine-wire connecting cables are
used, the wire ends will have to be handled in
acc. with the applicable national and interna-
tional rules (e. g. use of ferrules).
The position of the connection terminals is
shown in the wiring diagrams on the switch-
base and in these operating instructions.
To ensure that the safety switch closes
correctly, switching at the switch shaft of the
switch insert is not permitted when the appa-
ratus is open.
If, to facilitate the feeding of conductors into
the enclosure, the switch insert is removed
from the enclosure base, it shall be put back
correctly before the electrical connection is
made.
6.6
Closing the device
Remove all foreign bodies from the device.
The switch handle on the cover of the switch is
to be set to the "ON" position.
When fitting the apparatus cover, care shall be
taken to ensure that the switch shaft of the
switch insert engages correctly in the carrier
hole of the switch handle.
To ensure the required minimum degree of pro-
tection, the cover screws shall be tightened
down.
Overtightening may impair the degree of
protection.
6.7
Taking into operation
Prior to taking the apparatus into operation,
the tests specified in the relevant national re-
gulations will have to be carried out. (ex. DIN
VDE 0100 -part 610 erection of power installa-
tions with nominal voltages up to
1000 V - analysis; initial assessment)
Furthermore the following points are to be
observed:
- Transport damage to sheet metal walls and
doors must be repaired.
- Defects in painting must be corrected.
- - Clean the switches and remove foreign
matter.
- It is generally recommended
(see also IEC/EN 60079-14) that you ensure
the restricted breathing of the construction is
not impaired during installation and that you
test the restricted breathing before
commissioning (see section 9).
Improper installation and operation of the
switches to loss of the guarantee.

Maintenance/Servicing
Observe the national regulations applicable to
the maintenance, servicing and test of electri-
cal apparatus as well as the general rules of
engineering (e.g. IEC 60079-17)!
