Explosion-protected

main-, load- and safety switch 25 A up to 800 A

Zone 22

During operation the instructions stated in
section 7 of the operating instructions shall be
observed.

The sole responsibility with respect to the sui-
tability and proper use of the control switches
according to the basic requirements of these
instructions (see technical data) lies with the
operator..

6

Installation

The relevant national regulations and the ge-
nerally recognized rules of engineering apply
for the installation and operation.

6.1

Transport / Storage
before installation

The delivery is to be tested for completeness
and integrity. If the delivery is incomplete, then
an inventory must take place immediately with
the transport company.

Any damage must be documented.

For storage, the explosion-protected main-,
load- and safety switchs must be placed on a
clean dry flat surface. This situation should
not be altered. The distribution boards must
be protected from adverse weather conditi-
ons.

6.2

Montage

Only skilled electricians and instructed per-
sonnel in accordance with national legislation,
including the relevant standards and, where
applicable, in acc. with IEC 60079-17 on elec-
trical apparatus for explosive atmospheres
should mount and install the explosion-pro-
tected main-, load- and safety switchs.

The explosion-protected main-, load- and
safety switchs. can be mounted without ope-
ning the enclosure.

The explosion-protected main-, load- and

safety switches must not be left near heat
sources.

When mounting the explosion-protected main-
, load- and safety switches directly onto the
wall, they shall rest evenly only on the faste-
ning points provided for them.

Use all attachment points to mount the enclo-
sure.

The chosen screw shall match the fastening
hole (see dimensional drawing) and it must not
damage the hole (e. g. use of a washer).

Bei übermäßigem Anziehen der Befestigungs-
schrauben, kann das Gerät beschädigt wer-
den.

The switches 25 A and 40 A with platic enclo-
sure are suitable for fastening onto COOPER
CROUSE-HINDS /  CEAG apparatus holders
size 3 by means of self-cutting screws
(see fig. 2).

Observe the relevant operating instruction.

Observe the respective national regulations as
well as the general rules of engineering which
apply to the installation and operation of elec-
trical apparatus!

6.3

Opening the device
explosion-protected main-,
load- and safety switches

Werden die Last-, Haupt- und Sicherheits-
schalter zu Reparatur / Instandsetzung Arbei-
ten geöffnet ist zuerst die Spannungsfreiheit
sicherzustellen bzw. sind geignete Schutzmaß-
nahmen zu ergreifen.

Before opening , set the switch to the „ON“

position.
