13.3 "Record Select" Menu Setting
The "Record Select" setting allows you to select which camera channels are allowed for recording and
which are to be excluded.
Use this setting in the same way as previously described in Chapter "13.2 "Camera Select" Menu Set-
ting".
☞
The greater the number of channels excluded from recording, the lower the amount
of memory required for recording.
13.4 "Resolution" Menu Setting
The menu item "Resolution" can be used to set the way in which recording is carried out. Two setting
options are available:
EACH Mode:
If "EACH" mode is selected, the 4 Channel Digital Recorder saves each camera channel as a separate
video file. This has the advantage that the recordings can be displayed either as a four-way split screen
or as full screen pictures when viewed later.
☞
If you have selected "EACH" mode, you can use the "CH1 to CH4" buttons (12 to 15
or 26, 27, 32, 33) to display the individual channels in full screen mode both in LIVE
view and as during a recording.
Press the "QUAD" button (16, 31) briefly to show the four-way split screen display.
For sequential switching between each of the four camera channels (display = every
3 seconds), hold down the "QUAD" button (16, 31) for 3 seconds.
Press the "Stop" button (5, 40) to halt the active sequential switching. This also
stops the recording if it is currently active.
Note that the 4 Channel Digital Recorder must be currently in the main screen in
order for this function to be available.
QUAD Mode:
If "QUAD" mode is selected, the 4 Channel Digital Recorder saves all four camera channels in a single
video file.
☞
If "QUAD" mode is selected, the sequential switching option is not available.
When the recording is viewed at a later time, only quadratic (four-way split screen)
display is possible.
Recording in QUAD mode saves a considerable amount of disc space.
