Mounting procedure (CF & CFL SET):
EN
1) Prior to installing CF-legs, raise the vehicle and chassis suspension to its highest po-
sition and open the twist locks attaching the container to the chassis.
2) The CF-legs must be connected to the corner casting facing out of the long sides of
the container, not from the rear or door end
figure 2.
3) For installation, each ConFoot-leg is lifted horizontally in its folded position
figure 3
and the locking pin
2
is inserted into the corner casting. The leg must then be rotated
into a vertical orientation.
4) To unfold the leg, the first branch
5
is released by first removing the retainer ring
connected to the locking pin
4
. The pin
4
can then be slid out and the branch
5
extended
downwards. Once fully extended, replace the bolt
4
and retainer ring. Correspondingly,
the second branch
5
is extended and secured, resulting in the two branches
5
forming an
inverted ‘V’ shape
figure 1
.
5) Subsequently pull the lower half of the ConFoot-leg away from the container until
the magnet
1
clamps to the container wall.
6) The leg can then be adjusted to the appropriate height of the raised container. To
do this, remove the height adjustment handle
3
, lower the bottom half of the leg until it
reaches the required length, then replace the handle
3
.
7) Perform steps 3-6 for all four sides of the container.
8) Before continuing, ensure all four legs are adjusted to the same height, and all han-
dles
3
/bolts
4
are securely in place, with retainer rings attached.
9) Finally lower the truck and chassis suspension to its lowest position and drive the
vehicle straight forwards. Make sure to clear the length of the container before turning.
CFP set procedure:
- When using a CFP set, the legs must be fitted to into specific corner castings as
shown in
figure 5
. The two CF legs are fitted to the front end of the container (furthest
from the loading bay), and the CFP legs to the rear end agaisnt the bay
figure 5
.
- Each CFP leg is side specific based on the drivers perspective (labeled CFP RIGHT &
CFP LEFT), and must be fitted to the correct sides of the container
figure 5
.
1) If using a loading pocket with limited lateral space, CFP legs are installed in their
extended position
figure 4
before the container is reversed up to the loading bay. To
install, there are two levers
6
at the top of each CFP leg. The first is used to turn the lock
-
ing mechanism
6
into a horizontal position once inside the corner casting, the second to
tighten the mechanism
6
in place. The legs should now be attached to the side of the
container, but not yet extended to reach the ground.
2) Carefully reverse the chassis until it is flush with the loading bay.
3) The height adjustment handle
7
can then be removed from each CFP-leg allow-
ing each leg to extend to the correct height for the bay/pocket. Once at the required
height, the handle
7
must be replaced and secured with the retainer ring.
4) The two CF-legs can then be inserted into the rear end of the container as denoted in
figure 5
, in accordance with the CF/CFL mounting instuction shown above.
5) Once all four legs are installed, adjusted to the same height, and all bolts and pins
are replaced, the truck can lower its chassis and drive away in accordance with the CF/
CFL mounting instruction shown above.
