13.1

General

If the Ultrasonic Blower Pack needs to be replaced or removed from service for disposal, strictly follow
the instructions in this section.

Personnel Qualifications

All decommissioning work must be performed only by a qualified service technician authorized by the
customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify proper qualifications of the personnel.

Safety

The decommissioning work will require removal of the covers/door panels on the Ultrasonic Blower
Pack.

Refer to

"For Your Safety" on page 8

13.2

Removing Unit from Service

Remove the Ultrasonic Blower Pack from service for disposal, or long-term storage, as follows:

1. Shut down the humidifier. Refer to

"Shutting Down the Unit" on page 34

.

2. Disconnect the humidifier from the power source.

3. Disconnect the control signal inputs (including any power and security loop connections) from

the terminal strips in the humidifier. Refer to

Appendix: "Wiring Diagram Ultrasonic Blower Pack"

4. Remove the Ultrasonic Blower Pack from its mounting surface.

5. If the unit is to be put in long-term storage, store the unit in its original packaging inside a pro-

tected area. Refer to

"Receiving and Storage" on page 6

.

6. If the unit is to be disposed, refer to

"Disposing or Recycling the Unit" below

.

13.3

Disposing or Recycling the Unit

The Ultrasonic Blower Pack and its components must NOT be disposed in domestic waste, and should
only be disposed in accordance with local regulations at authorized collection facilities.

If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate local authorities, or your local Condair rep-
resentative.
