Operation, TWTA ODU Amplifier
Redundant 1:1 With Load Switching
This configuration provides another level of switching. Either the
online amplifier, the backup amplifier, or both amplifiers may be
fed to a dummy load. This ability allows you to perform
maintenance on both amplifiers at the same time.
The load switch is not part of the automatic switching capability.
It must be selected manually.
1+1 With Soft Fail
This configuration may be used as a Redundant 1:1 or Power
Combined Redundant System.
In 1:1 Redundant the online amplifier is switched to bypass the
hybrid combiner. When the online amplifier faults the automatic
switching will act on both switches to switch the backup amplifier
online.
In Power Combined Redundant the two amplifier outputs are
combined through the hybrid combiner and the output is
switched online. When one of the amplifiers faults the other
amplifier will be switched online bypassing the hybrid combiner.
After the switching occurs, the output level will only decrease by
3 dB (Soft Fail.)
Initial Turn On
In order to ensure proper operation of the amplifier perform the
Preturn On Procedure before you turn on the amplifier for the
first time.
Caution
Ensure that all of the following instructions are followed.
Failure to comply could result in permanent damage to
the amplifier.
Vorsicht
Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle folgenden Anweisungen
befolgt werden. Nichtbeachtung kann bleibende
Schäden am Verstärker verursachen.
