Here is a description of the major STAC IP functions:
Automatically puts the highest priority line
On Air
. In some circumstances
this will be the only button required for on-air talent and it is also useful
for contests. If the
Control Surface Select
drop down menu (4) is se-
lected for

Takes all lines off-hook and “busies” them out. Lines remain busy until
this is selected again. This is useful in clearing lines before contests. (Lines
Locked On Air
won’t be dropped.)
Allows a line to be selected as the
Priority
or
Next
line. Normally, the
Priority
line is the one that has been on hold the longest. This function
allows the user to change the
Priority Queue
. Note that, on STAC IP, this
function works slightly differently than on the control surfaces. Here, you
must select the line you wish to “bump” to
Priority
status before pressing
the
Priority
button. When assigning
Priority
on the control surface, these
key presses are reversed.
