Restoring
Using the Backup Agent on Exchange 2000 3–19
To restore the SRS or KMS databases:
1. Stop the SRS or KMS service. For the SRS service, delete the database file
srs.edb from the subdirectory \srsdata in the Exchange server home
directory. For the KMS service, delete the database file
kmsmdb.edb from the
subdirectory \kmsdata in the Exchange server home directory. For Disaster
Recovery, or if the database is already corrupted, you must delete all files
under the corresponding subdirectories.
2. Start the SRS or KMS service and restore the backup session with BrightStor
ARCserve Backup.
3. Restart the SRS or KMS service. For the KMS service, restart the service from
Exchange System Manager. Expand the Administrative Group, click
Advanced Security, right click Key Manager on the right panel, and select
Stop or Start Service.
