Check for secure installation. Pull base front
to back and left to right to check for secure
installation

. Vehicle lap belt MUST
stay tight.
If the vehicle lap belt does not stay tight or base
cannot be securely installed, resecure car seat
with vehicle belt and test again, see vehicle
owner’s manual, “Vehicle Seat Belts” section
or move to a different seating location.
Attach car seat to base. Keep handle up in
carry position.
Lift car seat to ensure it is properly attached to
the base (see “Removal and Attachment Of
Car Seat To Base” section 12e).
Recheck recline of car seat. Adjust if necessary
(see “Adjusting Base for Proper Car Seat Recline”
section 12f).
