Inspection- and Maintenance Instructions
Safety instructions
Before carrying out inspection and maintenance works, discharge the winch appropriately.
Works on the electric installation may only be effected with cleared current supply by an elec-
trical expert.

Safety functions, emergency stop, limit switch, main switch
Visual examination of rope - hook (carrying device), electric control
Check electric control for correct operation,
Check function switch up-down

Leaking of oil (are there any leaks?)

Check the rope for wear acc. to DIN15020 page 2 and execute maintenance works.
Check rope attachment
Control lubricant level.
quarterly
Check the fixing screws and bolted connections for firm seat.
annually
Check the motor.
Check name plate for legibility.
Check hook and fixing
Assess consuming rate of the calculated working life and determine remaining
working life, record it.
Check brake for wear
Check the overload protection (if existing)
Check electric control - switch contact for state and wear. If necessary replace con-
tactor.
The operating lifetime of switch contact is limited.
Arrange for an examination by a competent person.

Replace lubricant. Open the drain screw, remove the old lubricant, screw in the
drain screw, and refill new lubricant through the drain screw.
Observe lubricant quantity.

The winch has to be given a thorough examination (only by the manufacturer)
